INDUSTRIES JARO INC, a pioneer in public telephony, continues to find new applications for its enclosures.

Jaro has been awarded a contract to supply 150 customized J-400 booths and 150 customized phone housings.

Our customer, Bell Canada, is installing the booths at all Ontario Provincial Police (O.P.P.) detachments in Ontario as part of an O.P.P. communications modernization project. The booths house direct dial intercom phones that will allow citizens to contact the O.P.P. at any time, by simply picking up the handset.

 Features:

Our J400, well known for its anti-vandal design, is customized to the O.P.P. brand. The O.P.P. logo was recreated in house and machined directly into the aluminium booth head using our CNC router. This design reduces end-user maintenance costs.

The booths are equipped with LED lighting, reducing installation costs for Bell Canada and power costs for the end user. The 100,000 hour rated life of the LED’s will give the end-user 20 years of maintenance free lighting when equipped with a photo-sensor that turns the LED’s off during day light hours.

Jaro also designed and fabricated a customized phone casing for the direct dial service being housed in the booths. The terminal casing was manufactured with our CNC to meet precise tolerances and allowing our Customer, Bell Canada, to seamlessly complete the integration of the phone’s components.

The result is that both the customer and the end-user were very impressed by the design, on time delivery, ease of installation and quality of the finished product.
